Fabric provides the foundation for any quality garment and we devote lots of time and expertise in the pursuit of developing up-to-date materials and yarns that live up to our standards for durability, comfort and sustainability. Creating and sourcing fabrics that deliver on all of these criteria is core to our mission to make better clothes in a better way.
Organic Cotton - Jersey Knit
Our jersey fabrics, made by knitting thousands of tiny loops together, are produced from high quality organic cotton that has been farmed and processed in the most sustainable way possible. Perfect for any garment that requires 'give' and ultimate comfort, our jerseys are as soft as they are durable, whilst being kind to the skin.
Organic Cotton - Jumper Knit
Our jumper knits, like our jersey knits, are made by knitting lots of loops together but on a much larger scale. We use different gauge machines to create our knitwear; from chunky 3 gauge to fine 12 gauge. Using high quality organic cotton yarns the resulting garments are warm but breathable and much less prone to the 'bobbling' of synthetic knitwear.
Organic Cotton - Cord
Our 100% organic cotton cordoroy is soft and durable, with a plush hand feel that speaks of its quality. Cord is produced by weaving extra pilse yarns on top of a base fabric, which are then cut and brushed to stand up as vertical ridges (known as 'wales'). Fewer wales per inch makes thicker cord, more wales per inch makes finer cord.
Organic Cotton - Woven
Woven materials are made by interlacing yarns on a loom in varous patterns to create fabrics which hold their shape and give garments structure. We use the highest quality organic cotton fibres to produce a range of woven fabrics with unique characteristics, which compliment a variety of garments from dresses to pyjamas.
Organic Cotton - Denim
Denim fabrics have been a workwear staple since the late 1800's. Traditionally blue because denim is coloured with indigo, this dye coats the outside of the yarn, instead of soaking it, which is why over time it wears away creating the faded look denim is famous for. We produce our denim using organic cotton yarns and a sustainable mindset; using water recycling systems and natural enzymes. We also avoid strong pre-faded denim looks that can only be acheived by using harsh chemical treatments.
Recycled - Outerwear
Performance in outerwear is key and we make it our mission to develop the best quality, most sustainable fabrics for these garments. Only synthetic materials provide the water and wind proof properties needed, so we use only 100% recycled fabrics that have been created from repurposed products like water bottles.
Recycled - Swimwear
Our swimwear fabrics have been developed with performance and quality in mind. They provide a SPF (Sun Protection Factor) of 50 making them ideal fabrics to be worn in the sun along with sun cream protection on any exposed skin.
